Aussie James Smith is an alumnus of the George Brown Chef School. He graduated from the Culinary Management Program with Honours and received the Four Seasons Hotel Award.

Prior to joining the Compliments Culinary Centre, Chef James was Executive Sous Chef at Christine Cushing Live – Canada’s first live interactive cooking show on Food Network Canada. He was also on the test kitchen team at Canadian Living Magazine.

With his extensive restaurant work experiences including Truffles, Boba and Scaramouche; Chef James now brings his award winning background to the Compliments Culinary Centre at George Brown Chef School.

Great food ideas come from great chefs… “We are inspiring busy families to create good food with the help of incredible products that can be the foundation of great recipes,” says Chef James.

Chef James works closely with Sobeys Inc. in product and recipe development for the Compliments line of products, provides advice and develops recipes for Sobeys’ Inspired by Compliments magazine.
