Veggie food has found a face-lift – or bettewr an extreme makeover – in hot new 26 year old chef Howard Dubrovsky. Even way back at the age of 10, Howard was already experminting with various foods and flavours for his family. Able to copy dishes he saw prepared on TV, he quickly realized that making great food would be his life’s calling.

Howard decided to earn his Bachelors degreee at McGill University before heading off to San Francisco to receive his formal culinary training at the California Culinary Academy. There, he learnt the best of classic techniques while finding inspiration in one of North America’s great food cities.

As a result of ethical dilemmas over eating meat, Howard became a vegetrian in 1994. Over the past eleven years, he has demonstrated the variety and sophistication of vegetarian food; dispelling misconceptions that it lacks refinement.

As a kick boxer, published food writier and photographer, art gallery owner, volunteer zoo keeper and general food fanatic, Howard has traveled much of the world, picking up on the best of electic cuisines.

Serious yet hip; urbane yet deep, Howard has a creative mind that informs everything he prepares. It might be indie-rock music or home décor that inspires him. He might draw on the East to West, but whatever it is it will have his particular mark of elegant, edgy inspiration.
