As the Editor in Chief and Co-Founder of, a food and culture website launched in February 2012, Ivy has published content that has garnered attention from France’s Le Monde, the New York Times Dining section and the Village Voice.

She hosts 86′d Mondays–a night for the city’s food and wine obsessed: from bloggers to wine writers to chefs, mixologists and servers – every week at the famed Drake Hotel.

Ivy writes about the food scene for Chatelaine, Fashion, Reader’s Digest, the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail, she and her husband co-write a weekly bartender profile column, The XX Files, with The Toronto Standard.

With ten years experience cooking in professional kitchens (in Austin, Texas, Kingston, Ontario and here in Toronto – from Biff’s Bistro to Cowbell and the Drake Hotel), her approach to writing is from a cook’s perspective.

Ivy has written and managed all the online content for Fiesta Farms grocery store since they launched their website in 2010. She files two blog posts per week and two video posts per month. She is well versed in social media and food related blogging content and has a vast network of food industry connections around the world.

In her six years as a freelance writer she’s interviewed some of the world’s greatest chefs, including Rene Redzepi, Ben Shewry, Gabrielle Hamilton, Roy “Papi Chulo” Choi, Jacques Pepin, Vikram Vij, Fergus Henderson, Martin Picard, Lynn Crawford and Anthony Bourdain as well as food personalities Ruth Reich, Kevin Brauch and Calvin Trillin.
